Irish Cream

Otherwise known as Homemade Bailey’s, Irish Cream is made by a number of brands. Some are better than others, but none of them taste like this.

  • 1 and 2/3 cups of Irish Whiskey – I use Jamesons, you can use other kinds or rye whiskey but I think Jamesons is the best
  • 1 cup heavy cream / 35% whipping cream
  • 1 14-oz can of sweetened condensed milk (such as Eagle Brand)
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder (Nestle Quik also works, does anyone buy that anymore?)
  • 2 tsp vanilla (optional, sometimes I skip this since vanilla is so expensive
  • 2 tbsp leftover cooled coffee – this is important, do not skip! you can use a little more if you’ve omitted the vanilla

Combine all ingredients in a blender and then pour into jars to keep in the fridge. Shake before using and serve over ice, on ice cream or in coffee.  Try not to chug.
